Which intake for Cupra?

Not exactly, its 70mm.. That whole MAF adaption thing has been blown out of proportion, just look how many people are our there running intakes with no problems what so ever, 2 or 3 people find problems and then everyone panics!! haha..

I dont have any Vag Com figures pre and post fitting.. I just know for sure that the car pulls smoother and stronger throughout the whole rev range..

Why? The new intake made 10bhp more than the intake pictured.. Thats why that design was dropped in favor of the 'Twintake'

Its pretty quiet, you know its there, but not as intrusive as an open filter sat in the engine bay.. But to be honest, my car is so loud with the exhaust and tyres, that its difficult to say just how loud it would seem on a more standard car..

because it looks similiar to the one that the seat leon touring cars run

So it adds 10hp on a stock car or modified ones. Will there still be a 10hp increase on stage2+ ones or will maps have to be adjusted accordingly for the new hardware to see the full potential?

Johhny looks very smart mate , but also looks expensive.
reminds of the single BMC carbon box of the mk1 Leons.

the gold tape finishes it off nicely though , can you reviel where you got it from mate and prices please?.

Ye i like the look of that one too, the twintake is a bit, i dunno 'fussy' i suppose. Still looks better then the others available for Cupra.

Stage 2+ cars will be hampered quite heavily running an OEM air feed due to insufficient air flow, you may be restricted on the settings you can apply as a result, mainly the boost - though this can be offset slightly by lowering the fuel setting and running a richer mix.

Yep, a cone sat behind the headlight.

Jonny - Is the diameter of yours the same as the stock intake where the MAF is located, and is the MAF positioned centrally in the intake?

Were your air flow figures altered after fitting the kit? The reason I ask is due to this thread here

Horace - it now appears that the Dbilas intake was purposely designed to have the maf off centre for a reason as i fabricated a spacer to centralise it and the car wouldn't idle properly after fitting it. I also did a couple of logs and found that the airflow readings dropped excessively and the timing correction went though the roof. I'm now not convinced that different shape/size maf housings to the the oem one causes any issues.

Can't say i've heard of AEM before, had a quick look on their site - can't find an intake for the Cupra?

Actually it's not for Cupra.. It's for Golf GTi.. So there is no hole for dv recirculation on it.
My friend is using this kit with hks blow off.. It's like forge's intake and looks more better.

Does anyone actually rate the Evoms? All I seem to see regarding it are comments about it being too loud. Does it perform well or is it all about the Darth Vadar effect?

I rate the Evoms as 1 of the BEST
You will get use to the sound, and pound for pound, I think it has the best results, imo.
I gained quite a few ponies with this sucker,

Ran my best 1/4 mile time of 13.1 this past weekend.
I'll vouch for EVOMS anyday!

Most things that remove the engine cover will be more effective as the engine cover is a restrictive piece of crap. Be wary of engine bay heat getting to a cone though, and be wary of locating it way down in to the wheel arch.
