All of these intakes are very nice to look at, but none of them (with the exception of the Sorg) appear to isolate the cone filter from a hot engine bay, which means that any power gains will be less than an intake that is boxed off from the engine bay....
NICE !
i found this also

Just fitted my Dbilas in place of the Evoms today and i must say its really nice to be able to hear err......... nothing now. The car still wants to rip the tyres off everytime i gun it but its a lot more civilised inside the cabin. Really nice bit of kit. Definately recommended![]()
hi.
did it fit ok? the only one ive seen fitted to a cupra was a very 'snug' fit. so tight it was leaving an impression in the sound proofing on the underside of the bonnet.
Now you see this is a nice idea. New prototype kit you have just published for the new Scirocco

Don't see any obvious reason why a similar system could not be developed and fabricated for the TFSI![]()

Do you reckon the flow would be as good as the EVOM's? Can you still hear those annoying whoose and psssst noises in the cabin and how much did you get the dblias for?
nickydobreanu the second (FMIND02S3) is for your car, but I would do some research before going for the forge intake. There are plenty of intakes with similar prices.
Rob & Caroline the panel filter is good as a reusable replacement for the OEM filter and ensures a better breathing for you car but you cannot compare it to a cold air intake.
But non of these are true CAI. they all seem to sit in the engine bay where its going to be hotter than the air externally.
A true CAI would surely have to sit away from the engine to be of any benefit?
The Forge is like that, but it sits behind the bumper/headlight where is it subject to no ram air and more likely to suffer water ingress on a wet day.
