Hey guys and gals, my front discs are need of a change on my LCR and was wondering what are the best to go for, my car has never seen a track and probably wont do anytime soon, so it would be just for everyday use, and the occasional fast road use too  lol, and also any pad recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Guys wheres the cheapest/best place to get either the EBC ultimax or std brembo discs for an LCR??

A few months ago i ordered EBC Ultimaxx at camskill.co.uk - I think they were best priced, and they also do the DS 2500

I personally havent yet but i plan on doing so soon. Alot of people use them on here in combo with ds2500's and swear by them. I think bill at badger5 on here sells them also and not much more expensive than gsf

Right then looks like more research to needs be done thanks for the reply will defo look into this combo

Speak to Badger 5 on here. He gave me a great price on EBC Grooved Disks, and Ferodo DS2500 pads. The combination of the 2 IMP, are great for the price!!

Is there a noticeable difference with the EBC ultimax over stock brembo discs? other then the price lol

nope, I'm not bothering next time.

They do look nicer though lol

I also used to use DS2500, but downgraded to DS2000 to save money and noticed no change. My next set will be a cheap pair of Mintex pads (with the wear sensor) for £27, lol.

Bill Can you price me up a recommended set of disks and pads, like mentioned before won't ever be used on a track but will be getting mapped soon

good luck with £27 mintex pads!

you will need it

Nothing wrong with Mintex. Please tell me why I will need luck.
They're going to be used on a standard LCR which just does normal day-to-day driving.
If they're crap I will let you know.

I've noticed no difference between DS2500 and DS2000, except the price.
In fact, I'd recommend the DS2000s over the DS2500s because they have less brake dust and also save you a lot of money.

People used to say EBC were crap but their discs are fine.
