Which map??

i want a stage one remap but dont now which to go for.. what about ecu evolution?? any one??

Never heard of them, although not to say they aren't any good of course

however if you are looking for a stg1 map, I would recommend Revo, Custom Code, Jabbasport, to mention a few, and all have very good reps

Performance Torque are very good to, and last time I saw had a special offer on, around £250 for a stg1 map....and you can't argue with that

mate honest dont go near ecu-evolution as they cocked my car up it keeps going into limp mode from the map i woulnt recomend him to no one

Doing a search would have taken you here: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=200191, to a thread which I created comparing remaps. I, like you, had no idea what to go for but everyone who posted here helped me alot and I decided that Custom Code was best suited to how I drive.

Stick to people you've heard of and companies that are recommended on here.

If you're in Cardiff, you could pop along to Badger 5 in Stonehouse just outside Gloucester. They offer both Revo and Custom Code maps. Or try P-Torque in Wolverhampton where you will get a cheaper price plus before and after dyno printouts which is a must after a map I think

Tony's MK2 Leon Cupra running only P-Torque stage 1 software made 309bhp and 311lbs/ft torque

Stage 1 is £265.00 all in with dyno runs before/after

That dont sound good, but lots of good things to say about ecu-evolution over at briskoda not heard of any problems.

Where do people recommend I go for a remap, i'm in the croydon area but will travel if needs be but nothing silly like a 4 hour drive. There's a Mobile custom code guy in croydon but would probably prefure to go to AMD in essex.

AmD do a good map for the Diesel's, have a word with Jonjay he run's an AmD map, Although he does now have a bigger Turbo

Do you RR the car before and after the map and what's the chance of it altering the reliability?

Yes mate AmD do a before and after RR print out and a full diagnostics check before and after.
