I'm not sellig mine I just want a standard set to rip about on for the winter

I put this thread up earlier so depends on what your asking and what/how good the tyres are mate

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=246099

I do have another set of the S line wheels like mine but there genuine silver Audi ones so there 112 PCD, would need adaptors, they will be up for sale soon.

Let me know if your getting rid of them :)

while i got ya and im about to go to bed, im after some hoses on us ebay, do you have any reccoms? think i read on your thread that you mentioned them, soo many choices and prices

cheers mate

What hoses you after mate?

If your getting the boost hose set be carefull about buying the golf kit as the one that goes from the turbo to intercooler pipe is for a ko3 turbo and I expect you have the later ko3s turbo on yours?

While your here you dont want a spare rear bumper do you? its in my way :cartman:

Adam cupra 20vt - Thanks for the offer, i don't currently have any codes to clear, just want it for the future. If you wanna bring your car to me in coltishall, i'll clean and polish for £7 ;)

Just gotta get the right version of vag com first lol

Have a look on Ross Tech website. There's a section about drivers. Latest version of VCDS says you need updated drivers, but the latest ones were mis-numbered, and look to the software that they are out of date when they are not.
It's a known issue, and you're told to ignore it by Ross Tech

just wanna get past the easy bits 1st i spose, not sure whats next as its been mapped but no recipts, it peaks at a bad and half but falls back to 1 bar, actualtor time i guess

i'd love a bumper if you have one, mine is dented so could have a word with my paint man, hes not very reliable but the work is spot on

went to change my boost gauge today but its been securely fitted so ill give it a miss for a while, its the only non red light in the car now

From the list on Ross Tech, can anyone tell me which version i need for my 2001 cupra?

Cheers

I use 311-2 with my pikey eBay cable and it never fails. I've used it on my 05 LCR, a 54 Audi A3 2.0 FSi Sport, a 52 Arosa and a 53 Passat. I'll be getting a Ross-Tech cable in due course now I'm getting into using the software but my current cable will do for now. Installing drivers can be a PITA and when they're installed you need to use the same USB port every time. If you're using Vista you need to run as an administrator and in xp compatability mode.

If you are not using a Ross-Tech cable you will need release 409.1 (for modern serial interfaces) from this page http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/archives.html

What operating system are you using? I use the above version of software on XP with this Gendan cable http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VAGUSB.html

When your cable is plugged in have you looked in the device manager on your PC to see what COM port it comes up as? It needs to be 1, 2, 3 or 4 for VAG-COM to be able to access it. If it doesn't come up as a virtual COM port the driver needs installing.

I know Shaun had it mapped by R Tech :)

The golf boost hose kits will fit its just the small elbo from the turbo wont fit.......unless you buy the more expensive Forge kit then they all fit.

You can have the rear bumper no problem at all mate.

Thanks for that :). I thought that CAN-BUS was MK5/6 only but as far as I know, you can use HEX on both and KEY only on MK4 or earlier.

I will order one of these next week and do some logs over the XMAS period on my MAF.

Yeah that's right :) Sorry I couldn't remember the cut off date for the Mk4 lol
