Whining noise from Engine bay?!!!

Hi Guy's, I have tried searching but could not find anything like this.

Once the engine has warmed up and I have driven a fare distance and reach my destination, the ignition is switched off and then this horrible whining noise comes from the engine bay, almost like a pump running. Like I said the engine is off, no power, and its definately not the fans. Any ideas?

Run-on cooling pump

Runs for about ten mins after shutdown to keep coolant circulating through the block and turbo. You should be able to see it at the timing belt end of the radiator

It does not run for very long, possibly 1-2 mins?
