Whining Noise??

Hi,

I've had my 2002 Ibiza PD100 now for almost a year and so far so good! Really like the car and will defiantly own another one. However, recently I have noticed that there is a whining noise coming from where the alternator belt runs! It's easier to hear at higher revs! Almost sure it isnt the turbo. Any idea what it could be?

my turbo made a squeeqy noise when it was going but only at high revs. then one day i was pelting it and it went pop

i have the same thing but only when i first turn the car on and its there for only a couple of seconds, the rest of the time its perfect,

I have only had it since its been left out in the cold over night and most of the following morning, i hope its just cause of the weather.
