The Garrett VNT1749VB is off the PD150 engine. The compressor wheel installed was a 56mm, so the turbo ineffect became a VNT1756. They machined the turbo housing to allow the larger compressor wheel to fit as well. I ran the turbo without a remap for a while and noticed very little difference, infact I did a track day with it like that! When it was remapped...holy s*** ripped up the tarmac!!

Got quoted €400 for a part-exchange for a brand new Garret for her. The Euro isn't as much as the Sterling too, so this is a very good price with a years warranty. He said that the de-cat wouldn't affect the warranty too and that it wouldn't cause oil to be blown into the cold side/air intake, I just seen this written in a few places and it had me wondering was I after causing turbo death by de-cat!

Your man was saying he can machine out the compressor wheel and he asked me - 'What would you be doing with the car.... going to them driftin competitions is it!?'

Very backward over here in Éire you see! and i'd like to see a front wheel drive car in a drifting comp!
