As happens with ALL users intent on using SCN for their own commercial gain without our permission.

I think it would need more than plugs. Surly upgraded injectors as well?
245hp+ is quite attainable from the stock engine with a properly designed exhaust system... the reason we don't do it is because it will break the clutch set-up... we will be holding off until a suitable upgrade to the DSG system is developed.
IMO, Chris has the highest available performance within the safe threshold of the transmission![]()
.Yea I have been talking to some sponsors of my local club,BucksVag, and they confirm that the 1.4 Twincharge IC temps were always very good. I know i said previously that I was going to go for an IC, but I don't think it is worth it at the moment.
GrDuDe we have not had any updates from you ina while mate. what's been happening with your car? How is the new setup working for you and have you fine tuned the map yet?
LOL. You are mad mate. So are you going to give us the break down on the turbo upgrade then for those of us that want to do it? I also think we need a few more vids too.
Our injectors and fuel pump are fine for up to 300bhp
Pushing 245 bhp from K03 will need to have such high boost pressure that first is going to reduce the life limit of the turbine by alot because no way you ll get that number without turning the WG to the max and also raise the torque to high levels, hence going to a bigger turbine is a safer and more reliable solution.
What sort of bhp and torque figures Chris has?
I dont know about you guys but here in greece cars with stock IC suffer, for a simple Stage 1 can easily see 50 Degrees ++
Lol well when I'm 2+ we will find out hopefully think I'm going to be safe to be honest lol and also while the gti has got lag ill be Beefing off with my supercharger and constant power and epic fast gear changes. It's not always about power to weight ratio it plays a massive part I agree but in our case there isn't a lot of cars with the same power and power delivery as ours from the supercharger and then turbo then gear change and instant power again![]()
exactly what i was going to point out. The IATs will go above 30degrees easily. For him to say something like anything over 30degrees is a no no, but doesnt say why or justify his answer as most tuners would says to me that he buys his maps in and literally just uploads them to the cars with little knowledge of what has been done or can be done. Might be wrong but thats my thoughts on it. Im quite critical when it comes to tuners touching my car and i do alot of research into it and like a bit of 'probing' lol. My ethos is if your spending 15k+ on a car then surely you shouldnt be skimping on something as important as the engine managment system
That said buying a map in is fine providing the map is of good quality. Its when they use ebay maps
As you say to get 245hp you have to raise the boost, if you raise the boost the IATs will rise substantially as well.
beating a stock mk6 GTI isnt really an achievment tbh. they not quick as standard only 207hp/207lbft. but they get gains. a remap alone will give more gains on the 2.0TSI, that the Ibiza cupra will get with a stage 2 map and TBE
215hp/220lbft Ibiza Cupra (1170kg) has 183hp/ton and 188lbft/ton
245hp/230lbft Ibiza cupra (1170kg) has 209Hp/ton and 196lbft/ton.
Stage 1 260hp/320lbft GTI 2.0TSI (1350kg) has 192hp/ton and 237lbft/ton
Stage 2 300Hp/345lbft GTI 2.0TSI (1350kg) has 222hp/ton and 255lbft/ton
Power to weight is everything in a cars performance. The GTI also will often have DSG as well.
So id imagine the stock would get annihilated, stage 1 will be close, but you wouldnt catch a stage 2 on anything other than a traffic light gran prix even with the 245hp
