Im looking into purchasing some speelines or MO'S and after reading Bills acheivements running 245 x 17" i was wondering what other wide set ups poeple were running.

My cars a daily driver but i need more grip, i'd like 17" x 225 mo's but they aren't releasing the 6 spoke version for another 6-10months so it will probably be 7.5 x 17 5 spoke mo's.

is any body else running the above?

widest point

I've spoken to mo last friday and they told me that it was safe to run 205 wide tyres on 8" wide alloys.

As you can see i've measured between the widest point of the fk coilover and the widest part of my unrolled arch and it measures at 8", but as the man from mo said i can run 205 wide tyres 215 shoud sail in no scrubs ;) i think. 215 work with minor arch rolling as mike is running them at the moment and i'll be having arch rolling carried out soon.

So the million dollar question is will they fit or wont they???

other options

In my quest to save money on future wheels i just rang up tweaks;

Team Dynamics Pro race 2

7" £450.00 (set of 4 delivered)

7.5" £530.00 (set of 4 delivered)

Apparantly very strong wheels and a dam site cheaper than mo's

LMAO @ Team Dynamics

Hope you get an actual reliable delivery

Company from hell...
12 months to get my pro-race 1's out of em...
w4nkers to deal with. total waste of space.

hope they dont mess you around like they did me and RobT

guy from demon tweaks said 2 weeks :shrug:

All that glitters aint gold then:think:

which supplier were you going to purchase them from ?

Any particular reason for them being so late?

choices

I've been looking into this abit now and seeing what can been done on standard arches i think 215 width tyres are about as meaty as you can get with standard looks.

there for i can use 7j wheels, i think due to budget it will either be;

Pro race 1

or Pro race 2

Mo 6 spoke available in 8J only

We dealt with them direct...
Mark Wain was the man.... who promised a lot but rarely delivered.,
nice enough bloke but totally ineffective.

nice wheels - I do like em.. and Pro-Race 1 are lightweight (IF) they sell you the motorsport ones... otherwise they're boggo heavy wheels like many others.

What sort of height should you be running to getaway from arch scrubbing on standard arches?

I've got 16x7.5 on 205/45 Momo's but I'm getting slight arch scrubbing on front particularly that bolt holding the lower side of the arches? How does rolling arches close that gap on that bolt?

I'm running on 60mm drop with bilstein sports and had my camber set to -1.8 already.

you roll the arches and loose those fixings if they dont push up out of the way enough for you.

{8x17 rims running 225-45-17 and 245-35-17 on et28rims, WITH arch mods}

second that, i used to order direct from team dynamics when i worked for ripspeed for 5 years, bastar ds to deal with, promise the earth but rarely deliver

best example would be recieving a damaged set of popstar alloy wheels with major surface damage to 3 of the 4 wheels, boxes were imaculate so some numpty actually fitted the tyres and thought "oh they wont mind!" team dynamics insisted the damage was done in transit and i'd have to keep the customer waiting for his wheels whilst the courier investigated

They all start as blanks and some are off the shelf like 7". i choose 7.5" and they had to be made, i was very happy with the turn around 2 weeks direct from tweaks.
