Will my car fail MOT with no horn?

Hello. I realised last night that my horn doesn't seem to be working. My MOT is coming up in a few weeks and id like to know if my car will fail the MOT because of it? Have been looking at an AIR HORN (Novelty ones)...are these street legal or not? And one more thing, are there 2 horns on a Seat Leon as im sure when i first got my car the horn was loud, the horn before it broke was half the loudness

I'd guess your car will fail the MOT if the horn doesn't work. Not sure about the legality of novelty horns, but do you really want to have your car compared to a chaved up Corsa or Nova

a new horn will cost £8ish for a std one from eurocarparts., wont sound as good as a normal seat horn tho, but will have you pass your mot

get it attached before your MOT, as its one of the requirements

check fuses, complete shot in the dark, happened on my pug years back. then i realised that i shouldn't have got a pug.

No horn is a definite MOT failure.
Horns on Leons do fail fairly quickly due to their location on the car being vulnerable to road crud.
Mine failed after a couple of years but was fixed under warranty along with numerous other things, these cars don't like Cornish weather!
The lower volume of the horn may have been a sign that it was starting to fail.
My advice is just to change it for a cheap one unless your name is Luke or Bo.
The air horns that play a tune I think are novelty items i.e. not for road use but I may be wrong.

Ok well £8ish for a new standard horn is good, was expecting to pay about £20+! will check the fuses tomorrow just incase. thanks everybody

Got one from Halfords (about £8). Doddle to put on and don't fail like the SEAT ones do. Do a search on here, there's plenty about it.
