Will this backbox fit?

Hi i have a Ibiza Sport 100 2008 1.4. I need a oem backbox and was wondering if the following would fit:

P/N is 6Q6 253 609 BD.

As the part number is the same (without the last 2 letters) as the backbox for mine i thought that it would be a compatable fit?

Also does anyone know if the 1.2 backbox will work on the 1.4 100ps? The part number is very simular again for this part: 6Q6253609J

Not sure to be honest. I would imagine the route the exhaust runs is identical but being from a diesel, the pipe that joins to the middle box may be a different size. That's the issue I had when I put an Octavia vRS (1.8T petrol) exhaust on my old Octavia TDI...

But on your 2nd question, the 1.2 exhaust has a shorter tip coming out of the backbox that bends down, the 1.4s have a longer tip that is straight and pops out of the valance on the bumper. 1.2s have no such cut out in the valance.

That looks (to me) to be a diesel back box?

Any exhaust will fit, depends how much chopping and bending it'll take.

Some back box from either a 9n 9n3 6r 6l 6j will fit, may need a reducer as the diameter will probably be less on a 1.2 than on a 1.4.

Why would you want a back box from a 1.2 on your 1.4?

Best bet is to get a standard back box from a petrol FR or Cupra, then you'd need a reducer as 1.8T exhaust are larger than 1.4.

Because the 1.2 is probably the same part that is on the 1.4 but i need someone to confirm?

I just need to know if diameter is the same..

Is the diameter for the tdi/sdi exhaust pipe same as 1.4 100ps?
