Hello,

I've tried having a search around the forum and on a few Facebook pages but I'm having an issue with my Cupra 290 front passenger window.

Using the passenger window button, a full hold down would usually automatically drop the window but it's no longer doing this. And when I try closing the window, it gets to the top but drops back down to about half open?

Has anyone had this issue before and is there a fix?

Thanks for your help...

Yeah do a window reset, it tells you how to do it in the manual or there's been a few threads on here that tell you the method, just have a search for window reset.

Thanks a lot.

Will give it a try. Not had an issue before so didn't really know the best thing to search. Thanks for your help and I'll give it a try.

I had this issue in my old coupe and had a thread on it a while ago. It is a safety mechanism that is triggered when pressure is applied to the window as it is rising to prevent it trapping misplaced fingers.
I put it down to improper calibration of the height the window was rising too due to some dirt in the mechanism somewhere. Gave the window seals a good clean out and the window itself a bit of a wiggle and the problem didn't persist again until i sold the car.
