Need help urgently!

Just put the pass side window down and it wont go back up again!

Ive had the doorcard off and tried pushing it up, it helps a little but still stops about 1inch from the top.

What can I do to get it shut?

mine did this a while back, i ended up leaving it open while i got home then tried it again and it went up a bit more. it was like it was running out of power, all the dash lights were fading when i pushed the button. ended up forcing it up but had to mess about with the runners after but dont no if that was cause of me forcing it up or that was what was up with it so id check them before you do out.

window regulator may have gone. My drivers one went on the 1.4. A common issue.

firstly though, try a switch from your drivers side on the passenger door. May be the switch that's gone

If it's not that, try and listen for the motor. If you can hear it, I'd say it's the regulator. If you can't then it's the motor. Best bet would be removing door card and having a look

I managed to get the window up.

The motor still pushes it up and down (well most of the time) but it stops short, or doesnt do it at all. From the sound the motor makes it sounds like its struggling.

Do you reakon its the motor or regulator?

Mat-both switches work, motor works, just doesn't go all the way up.

Sometimes if you hold the button down, it will go so far up, stop then go back down

i think its the regulator thats want happend to mine u know when you next take the door card off look at the regulator and see if the wire is in tact because on mine it was the wire that started to fray and the got stopped near the top like yours get a block of would and some cable ties to hold it up untill you a new regulator

might be a tired motor struggling to lift it

check inside the rubbers then wd40 or better still duck oil inside the rubbers where the glass runs

will make the glass messy for a bit but worth a try
