Windows don't work when using the driver's door buttons

Hi!

For a few months I'm an owner of a lovely Ibiza Bocanegra (you can see it here:
, if you are a fan).

2 weeks ago the accumulator (battery, I'm not sure which word is used in English) drained, we replaced it with a new one. But since then - the windows cannot be opened from the driver's door buttons. At first when deattaching and attaching the battery - they worked, but after a few tries - they stopped working again. I tried different types of syncing that I found online, but none seem to work.

The button on the other door works fine.

Now I don't know if it's an error in the computer causing it, or by some weird reason - the buttons broke at the same time the battery drained.

Any ideas?

If you replaced the battery did you code in the new one? I'm not sure if that needs doing on your model / year of car, but if it does, and you haven't done it, the car will be trying to charge what it thinks is an old and tired battery. If nothing else this will shorten the life of the new battery; it might also cause other symptoms - I don't know if it can cause what you describe but it's a bit of a coincidence.
