Windscreen (need a new one)

When I brought my Cordy it had a crack in the screen but its getting really bad now, going right across my view. I have been quoted £150 roughly for a new one as that includes vat and fitting. Apprantly because they are moulded in you need a company to do it? Is that true or do you think its easy enough for me to try and do?

If you had the tools it would be possible, can't you get it done on your insurance though? Normally it's only £50-£60 excess.

I did ring my insurance company but because im not fully comp they said I have not got the optional cover or something for the windscreen

I had to replace my windscreen after getting the mother of stone chips in it, National windscrens charged £155.00. As previous post said, if you have fuly comp insurance all it will cost is the excess which is usually around £60.00

Just upgrade your insurance... I've on average done a piece of glass a year, and when I had the coupe the insurance wasn't that different to remain FC

The only problem being is that im 18 years old so im allready paying roughly near on £700 3rd party f&t. I had a new screen fitted from Budget windscreens, with the green tint and was only £130, so not too bad..
