You know I have been thinking about seeing with you guys if you could check for me what a (for you) drivers side mirror would cost with housing and elctrical system. This because I would like both of the mirrors to be the small one. This is possible to change amongst UK and holland.

Thanx

Ive got 2 stubby mirrors, looks so much neater and symmetrical. Cant stand things being odd.

M3, M5 or anything aftermarket is completely crap. The quality is turd, fitting is a complete bodge and they look so wrong u may aswell wear corduroys.

Stick with the oem style, golf ones are cool. A mate has just fitted R32 mirrors, they are the nuts. Smaller than your drivers mirror but a bit bigger than the passenger. Just right if you ask me, as mine are useless to see out of.

He fitted them on a golf, thing is tho a lot of the golf boys fit the lupo stubby mirrors so surely the lupo uses the same as ours. If this is the case then the R32 ones should fit the ibiza. U will have to research, but honestly they look amazing.

the golf ones dont fit straight on ours, they have different base plates and the holes are in a different place, look on the first page for the examples of different mirrors and look at how they fit.

You can make anything fit just depends how far u wanna go, if u want the easy way do what i did. Or if u wanna have better vision fit a large passenger one and modify it to fit the sensor, loads of room in them.

you guys may not have thought of this but hey... here is a stab.

1)get a LHD driverside mirror. carefully drill a hole in the underside (snug fit for the temp sensor).
2) get a temp sensor that works and cut it off the stubby mirror
3) extend the wires back down in to the door to the wiring harness.
4) pair back on to the harness..

easy, cheap and good looking way of doing it.
and if your worried about your temp sensor moving, hold it down with something :)
