Technically they are not full buckets, because they are still, essentially. A base, and a seperate reclining back. ie a 2 part seat.

The seat base should essentially be the same as any other Leon seat base, just with the added strength and bolster support that the Cupra utilises.

But as i say, i will request some clarification from SEAT UK on Monday.

Cupra has bucket seats and they can not be heated, this is a fact.

I'm guessing that the Seat website will have the usual caveat about errors and omissions/spec changes etc somewhere......:(

They may well do, but they won't be allowed to still charge the money for something they don't actually fit.

If the heated seats option is not a Cupra fit item, then the option needs to be struck from the list. Bearing in mind that the factory are only now taking orders for Cupra's with options in right hard drive configurations at least. Its not beyond them to decide to move the goalposts.

And SEAT UK themselves are often at the mercy of the factory in regards to specifications.

But no point getting too wound up about it, until I get something from the horses mouth, and not one of its ponies.

Yes my dealer also says the heated seats are an option, and the 'official press pack' we got from SEAT UK at Wednesday's media launch where myself and m0rk drove the new Cupra, also states its an option.

Only one saying it isn't an option so far is hot hatch's dealer. But my aim is as you say to get confirmation of the facts.

I will check with my dealer on Monday and also consult our press contact at SEAT for confirmation.

If they have decided to strike the heated seats from the Winter Pack, I would expect a price reduction, or a deletion of the option all together.

But we'll find out for sure, in my experience the word of one dealer should not be taken as canon!!

The dealer I spoke to was concerned about this option due to the different seats and he actually contacted Seat UK for clarification. He was honest in telling me and he could have kept his mouth shut and taken my money, he has nothing to gain as I still want some of the other options so will still have to wait longer for delivery.

But lets see what you can find out on Monday Mark.

I have spoken to my dealer and had email correspondence with our SEAT UK press contact.

My dealer did question it at the time the car's options were first announced before New Year, and all their subsequent details indicate the pack includes the heated seats. I've spoken to our press contact today at SEAT UK, who is aiming to find out for sure, and he'll get back to me once he has a definitive answer from SEAT UK marketing.

Though both have said it is entirely possible that the unique shape of the Cupra's seats means that the heated facility is not possible, in which case a brochure amendment will need to be made.

However at present all information indicates that the heated seats are included in the pack option, and once SEAT UK get back to me with an answer, I will of course share the info here.

They couldn't charge full price for it, without the heated seats. Would ultimately come under the sale of goods act anyway.

But everything so far points to it being a **** up rather than anything else. We shall get to the bottom of it.

Unfortunately, it does now appear this option has been deleted. My dealer just confirmed to me that the factory can't fit the heated seats. But apparently they will fit heated washer jets. Expect a subsequent price decrease for this option.

If you've already ordered this option. Check costings with your dealer.

In germany you could never order heated seats for the Cupra. There is a winter pack available for the Lion King without heated seats and another more expensive one with heated seats for the rest of the bunch.

Going back to this I remember my dealer telling me that heated wing mirrors are part of the winter pack, but looking at the list of standard equipment on the seat configurator heated wing mirrors are listed.

So are the only thing being added for the winter pack is the heated jets?

Can anyone please confirm
