as you can see the connecting arm from the wiper motor has popped off the driver side wiper arm. i popped it back on but it just popped back off. im not sure if there was meant to be some sort of clip that goes around the ball and makes it more secure? or if its simply popped on to fit

i tried fitting a small plumbing style o ring to make the connection more of a sealed/tight fit but the ring just falls off after a while and the joints popps off again

anyone got any idea? know if a small clip is missing?

cheers

same thing happened to mine a few weeks ago. Got a replacement linkage from seat for £8. The problem is the plastic bushing simply wears away and will no longer hold the ball

cable ties in use, fingers crossed! part on order came to 9.60 after vat which makes me happy :D hopefully in tomorrow if not then thursday

annoyingly though i'll have to remove the passenger side one because it sits on top of the drivers side at the wiper motor. so hopefully i wont break that while i'm at it

I recently had the same problem. It started on the passenger side. After i replaced the part within one week the other went aswell.

So my tip is replace the other one also, saves you a lot of agony. Also you can't use an tie-rap on this to fix it. This because the wiper makes an circular motion once activated. With an tie-rap in place the wiper can't operate how it's supposed to do.

iv looked at the other and for now its tight as the virgin mary, but after iv removed it and refitted it im not sure how it will be then, but one can only hope for the best

Could be down to extra strain on the linkage coz of the different wiper setup, you never know.

I still want them tho, lol.

wot a pain in the fecker

getting the old ones off to fit the new one. and mangled the passenger side one which was being reused but its still functional so happy days

the new linkage is well tight though, seeing it now makes it clear that the old part was really worn.

i'd say it was wear and tear though, not caused by the aero's. just generally a piece of **** design

all good now though
