Wiring Harness recall 69DQ

Just received notice of this, any idea what it fixes?

What I found interesting from the recall notice was the relatively low number of cars affected despite the time span of the problem (NB presumably manual cars only since it relates to the harness being trapped under the clutch pedal). This could well be indicative of all the supply side issues we keep hearing about.

Just had my recall booked in for April so can't be that important or maybe mines just a check mines was made in June 2021

My recall was completed a couple of weeks back, the wiring was undamaged and the authorised fix of an extra tie wrap added to hold the loom away from the pedal. I think the recall is more for the potential of the problem to disable the airbags, rather than the actual likelyhood of your particular car having it.
