Wobble under braking

Disks at 40K miles is pretty good even if you're not a hard driver. Are you unhappy that you're having to replace the disks after 18 months, if so did you complain to SEAT that you had to replace the front tyres after 9 - 10 months? Wear is a function of mileage not time, although trying to explain that to our company car management company can be difficult sometimes

Just found this under a search, so being lazy and posting in here.

My brakes have started to judder under braking, the faster the speed, say slowing from 60 for a roundabout on the dual carriage way near me and the wheel shakes quite badly.

It is def disk runout IMO as I have experienced this b4 (bloody BMW)

Now the car has only done 7200 miles so Seat should change these discs under warranty shouldn't they? if so should the pads be done as well?

Never experienced Seat Warranty so hoping that as the car was bought from them last month they are gonna sort this.

I never noticed on the test drive as the disks did not get hot enough as it was only a blast up and down the dual carriageway and as said runout is worse the hotter the disks get.

haven't been on here for a while and have now chopped in the cupra and bought a vx220 but thanks for getting back to the forum, always found eveyone very helpful.

As for getting new disks from the dealer mmmm.. How long you had the car for? I would try to speak to someone and see if they will replace them but not holding out loads of hope as the dealer will hide behind 'consumables'. YOu will probably need to change the pads as well as they could have uneven ware due to the damaged disks.

The car was a year old 2 days after I bought it, I have had it about 2-3 weeks and it had done 6758 miles when I bought it and has now done 7200 so good chnace hopefully of getting them done under warranty, if they try and tell me they are consumables at that mileage then I will piss my self

It is booked in at Thompson and Thompson Seat dealer in Caldicot which is closer to me in Newport than White Dove in Cardiff, plus White Dove can't fit me in until Novemeber !!! and they can fit me in on Monday, so will see what happens.
