I wouldn't worry. I don't remember the R getting glowing reviews across the board. Didn't stop many people buying them though.

If the cupra is even 10% a better car than the R is I'll be over the moon. In fact I'm sure it's going to be even more than that.

Yes, just as Syphon says, you will always get the haters. Some even base an opinion before they've even give a car chance.

But opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one. And it would be a boring place if we all liked the same things.

Leon R's got a similar level of treatment when they launched, and now you read used car reviews and its almost like they are the best thing since sliced bread.

Wouldn't worry, if your happy with your choice, then that's really all that counts.
