Craig's Leon does sound the nuts! The best way I can describe is it to those that don't have a clue what he's on about - I have a K&N 57i on my Ibiza 130 Sport - and when you let off the throttle - the induction kit sounds like a quiet dump valve/flutter valve. But Craig's is a stupidly loud version of this! And I want my car to make this noise!

Craig - you can have my slightly more powerful Ibiza engine if I can have yours? Just for the noise? ;)

thanks to fester i have tapped into the inner beast of the leon...i frightened 2 of the girls i work with on the way home tonight...they were at the bus stop and i went by 2nd gear...full throttle and lifted off...whooooooooshhhh and i saw them jump haha

It's definitely a 2nd and 3rd thing - who needs to spank all that cash on diesel dump valves ... it's there if you want to play with it :)
 
I posted about this ages ago but cant remember the outcome. It seems to happen best when your off boost, put your foot right down until the turbo starts to spool up then lift off quick. Ive even had two smaller 'chuffs' after it. My brother-in-laws Octavia Vrs 170pd doesnt seem to do it? Maybe he hasnt mastered it yet it does take a while to get it right.

Devonutopia, If I remember rightly, yours seem to almost do it all the time at the Skoda meet at the beach and the exhaust seemed to sound like an evil howl, spooky sounding.

dont know if ibiza fr 130s can do this wooshing thing, i will try it tomoz with mine i think :) i do get quite a loud scream from the turbo just as it comes on boost under full load. which can make me grin tho
 
Got any pics of your induction kit mate? did you notice any performance increase with it at all ( Minor i know if any) Pm me if you don't want to go off topic please.

Noticed no difference in performance. They claim to make 5bhp increase. But lets be honest - with 130 already - you're never gonna notice 5bhp increase cos it's so minimal! If yours is a 130 diesel you can have mine for a price? ;)

I reckon I might go smooth air box way....
