tequilan...remember...2nd gear..foot to the floor while pressure builds up.. then lift off completely
um....about 2-2.5 k¬ i try to let off before the turbo really kicks in and sends me flying down the road
right just got in, tried exactly as told in a built up area with windows down and.......i think.....it does do it in second gear but quite queitly and no luck in third. roads getting quite greasy here now which ended up just making the wheels spin so gave up. think i'm gonna find out how i can make this noise a little more audible.
You cant do this too much Craigy boy! You'll kill your clutch (especially if you get it remapped) booting it before turbo has spooled.
Mine has been mapped and I can't get it to do it either! Only through the induction kit!

In regards to sheer straightline speed (aka woooshhh noise making!)
I have
Custom-Code Phase 1 remap
PD160 Air-intake
Pipecross Panel Filter
2'5inch turbo back stainless steel exhaust, no silencers, no cat, no muffler
Needless to say, if I let off as described you can hear the 'dump' about 3 cars behind.. whilst your sat inside the car.. under load in the other car... lol
Or half way down a street..
Then again my exhaust does seem to have the ability whilst under boost and on full chatter to set car alarms off as I go past.. so that should give you a rough idea on the noise levels.
These were confirmed saturday at cadwell park when I was on the SCN trackday!
Pretty sure my car was the loudest there, 105db limit which was lucky, as most are 99db and mine came out (with a little bit of cheating to try and limit noise) 101db

You are kidding? Have you heard a diesel at full chap with a custom exhaust? Sounds the doggies!

Well to balance the sound on tick over I also have a helix uprated clutch and single mass flywheel, sounds even more tractor like at the front now
Which makes it even more fun, when I smoke the 172's etc
