Xenon Headlights

Now that the dark evenings are in i'm looking to upgrade my lights. Just ordered side lights to match the xenon's but i was un sure as to whether or not i can upgrade the High beam on Xenons ??

Or do xenons do both H7 and H1 only when i go on full beam the lights appear to go slightly yellow compared to dip beam !

If i can what make of bulb do people recommend to upgrade to?

As fas as I know the xenon's are one bulb so when you put high beam on it moves something to reveal more light.

I may be wrong though.

When you use full beam a shroud lifts on the xenon to provide extra light (hence Bi-xenon) but you also have an H1 Full Beam as well. If your lights are off and you flash someone just the H1 will flash not the Xenon this is becauce apparantly xenons do not like being turned on and then off again immediately without warming up.

Do you know how easy it is to replace sidelights on cars with the xenons as i fancy doing that myself.

Ps if you are looking to upgrade the H1 (and dont laugh) try the Halfords Brilliance Bulbs, just fitted these to g/fs 406 and they are almost as good as my xenons - seriously!!

same question as rob, which sidelights bulbs have you gone for??? I noticed on mine that one sidelight bulb looks blue and other normal??

To mirror what rob said when you put on your full beam a lense is moved from the xenon lamp and also a extra light on the side of the light cluster will come on

Thanks Rob66 and spenny2004 you confirmed what i thought , i will change the H1 bulb just a decision what to go for then ??/

I'll have a look at the halfords that you say about does anyone else agree/disagree ?

With regards to the sidelights i,m not sure how easy they are to do but i,m very friendly with the local Seat dealership if i do get problems then i can call in and they'd help.

I've ordered the led lights that Xe from this site is selling that don't bring up error code on dash these apparently are a good match for the Xenon's as original's look really poor and ruin the look !
