Hi,

Just wanted some thoughts on my plan to paint my brake calipers yellow on my extreme blue cupra. Think this will look good.

Was gonna do it myself, but i'm not too handy that way. Is it worth paying my local garage to do it do you think?

Also, what is the best paint to use and best cleaner to use prior to painting?

cheers,

Sat

In a word no, I think it will look tacky to be honest. Gold would be a better option.

As for paint just use good old hammerite (Halfords stock it in a variety of colours) used it on several cars and it works a treat and stays clean and will not come off. As for cleaning a good scrub and wash is all that is needed as the hammerite will cover even the dirtiest of callipers!!!

Here is some pics of hammerite (silver) used on my 1er
