Recently bought an AUQ cupra 1m. When i first checked the car it drove like a champion and still does, so when i looked in the engine bay and saw a big shiny silver DV i assumed it was a forge type recirc valve, however i failed to notice it seems to be an atmospheric dump valve given that the pipe that should connect to the DV outlet is bunged up. I do get a small woosh noise but nowhere near as loud as what my impreza used to be thats why i assumed it was a recirc.
My question is, can these engines be setup to run adequately with a BOV if they have been mapped properly or should i ditch the BOV and fit a forge 007?
In the cars history there was a graph showing a torque increase from revo tuning so its very possible the car has been re-mapped although without vag-com i cant confirm it.
Worth noting the car runs like a trooper, pulls hard and the turbo kick is phenomenal. Had a golf AUM a while back and it felt nothing like this.
