I have a bracket in my engine bay which is not screwed onto something. It only appeared after i had my clutch changed. It Is where the plug from the lamba sensor plugs into the other plug. The plugs are held inplace on this metal bracket.
Will take a picture and post to see if anyone can help.
You know you have a mk2 as soon as you start it up because for the first few minutes it fires like crap and sounds so rough you hide your head under the steering wheel so nobody can see you.
Or maybe thats when you know your plugs need changing?
when ur approching traffic and you swear at the bus next to you because its brakes are making such a gay squeeling noise when stopping then you realise that its YOU thats making the gay squeeling noise...
...you wash your brakes and the noise goes, but then comes back! wtf man.
mate i realised that the back of the ronals are dipped in so all the dirt goes in a hole and when u wash it quickly (not taking the wheel off) it actually does nothing because when the wheel goes around the dirt spins out of this hole and drips down wtf man.
You know you've got a Kiwi Mk2 when you buy it for peanuts because no-one else likes the colour. (P reg 56k miles, FSH, minor scratches £2300 4 years ago)
You know you've got a 16v Mk2 when it's second cambelt strips after 53k miles.
You know you've got a Mk2 GTi when it's been your daily driver for 4 years and 55k miles and you'll never sell it cos it's AMAZING.
You know you've got a Mk2 valver when the handbrake rattles but you just change up later to cover the noise. Oh the sweet music of 7000 rpm!
