Thats like me. I want something with more power but with the price of fuel these days im tempted just to keep it until it dies until i can afford to run something with more power.

the mpg difference between my 1.4 and GTi isnt drastic!

depends on your circumstances, mines hardly moves during the week, its just a toy, not a work horse

i get better mpg on the valver than i did on the 1.4

...but the valver just goes faster and quicker so more fuel used that way ...but if i drove it calm then i would actually get better mpg than the 1.4 hehe.

you know u have a mk2 ibiza (valver) when u originally bought it for the price but realistically your actually using twice what an "average" person uses for fuel.

My car is used for a work horse for a few days a week so it really wouldnt be practical. If i got a GTi i would only use it at weekends and I would use the 1.4 for a work horse etc.

you know you have a Mk2 when its skitty back end kicks out on any road with the slightest of moisture on it. ... oh, and when your popping over to a mates (25 miles away) and stretching its legs a tad on the A38, the Cd player goes dead, yet once your leaving your mates , you put te key in go to 'stage one' and it lights up and plays...
