Aah. Missed that bit. Well that would put a different skew on things.....

Seems very cheap to me, but then I don't really know what the going rate is

This says it all:

You know you have a mk2 when...... it's doing "quite well" if it doesn't need something fixing for 2 months!

Yep I know what you mean. Mine went to months without a hitch, then the same problem as you, the battery. Wouldnt hold a charge so needed a new one.

Did you not hear??? 2-2.5k max!!! Thats to source and fit it!!!

I was impressed - but thats what he said!!

Mmmmm that sounds interesting. Ive been considering a 1.8T engine because I really dont want to get rid of the Ibiza. How long does it take to fit?? I wouldnt mind driving down and staying a week near waiting for it to be done.

Yeah thats what I was thinking
If you were to do that craig you'd probably have to spend a few £ more, as you'd need to sort the brakes out which wouldn't be that easy on the rear of yours.
Is cheap though!!

Ok, well, like I said, I might get the car up together or I might sell in a few months.

But, if I did want a set of shocks and springs, where's best to get em from?

Ive got the Jackson tuning set on the Cupra and think they are pretty good to be honest. Not really heard anyone have any problems to be honest - aren't as refined as a set of expensive jobbies with damping contols etc but I rate them value for money wise

you know you have a mk2 when you put your foot down and an uncontrollable smile develops on your face
you know you have a mk2 when the recovery truck driver says i only picked one of these things up yesterday
you know you have a mk2 when your entire day depends on the mood of the car
