When you look at your petrol gauge and it looks like you have enough fuel to get to a petrol station but in actualy fact you have less than you think because the angle you sit at makes it look more.
YES!... Or when you have a quarter tank for quite a while, you stop for the journey, then start up the car again, and the finger comes up WAY lower than it was.
And I don't have a particular heavy foot either!... intentionally of course, or that kinda economy would be understandable. And Bangor is not particularly biult up, it's pretty spread out, so there's not much stop starting to be honest!... It's serviced often, a single point? if that makes any difference... but yeah - pretty shocking.
what the hell is it with the last quarter of a tank! i thought it was only mine, but once that fuel light comes on, you better pray theres a petrol station within 20 odd miles or your screwed
you know you have a mk 2 when your car breaks down you wait 50 mins for the rac to come and sort it out they try loads of things to fix it, then they ask the question about your immobiliser and you then remember that you turned the key the top of the fob fell off and you put it back together not realising the chip had fell out on the floor
ouch, embarrasing.....my battery died outside quikfit other week and when i asked for help i waited 25 minutes for the amatuers then tried it again out of boredom and started straight away!
