Octavia VRS rear brakes

Just fitted these to mein auto in order to get rid of the solid discs at the rear.

The calipers and the vented discs make a substantial difference to braking and I recommend them heartily.

If you get the opportunity from ebay or a breakers do this mod - very well worth it even if you have the std items on the front.

same as v5 tolly probably too.

I was fortunate in that I only had to pay for the brakes pads. Fitting very straightforward save for arsing about with the heat shield.

No, no totally standard

Not quite due to the brake fluid/master cylinder issues. So a short journey to get that sorted. The hose got a little nicked when sorting out the heat shield.

They are the same size I think but they are vented like the fronts so heat dissipation will be much better.

same as cupra R rears guys.same size and same caliper(big lumps of iron not the light alloy ones that you get on the cupra etc)

It really does. I was surprised just how much given they are the same size. I bet it would be even better with Bill specials like the discs i've got on the front.

I just don't see how new fluid, discs and pads would make all that much difference. I think the "green" of the calipers is wot makes them so much better hehe.
