when i took my original TIP off of my 04 LCR i couldn't believe just how flimsy it was. even if it does flow as much as a samco jobby (which i doubt) it would be a lot weaker at high boost. i fitted a forge TIP on my otherwise standard LCR and it seemed to make a difference, it seemed to drive a bit smoother on boost. so i shouldn't have any worries once its re-mapped.
nope! its all rubber on the stock TIP & silicone on uprated ones. forge told me that their version is designed to flow better than samco or apr TIP's do
I've just had a conversation with Jim at JKM, helpful guy and has more or less persuaded me to get revo in the coming months, he informed me that the stock TIP was up graded as during high speed tests the OEM one would collapse.
Not sure about flow though, I thought you had to buy mini maxi or super to sort out that problem, so the gf says!!!!!
The guys who used to work for AMD who now work at APS i think they are called now basically the old tip does not have 2 rings going round it to stop collapsing whereas the new one does apparently
I thought that was to clip a pipe on to the std one as i remember being slightly agitated finding something else to clip it to when i upgraded?
I have one in the garage somewhere off an 05 car. I'll show you mine if you show me yours lol (and if it aint too buried in junk).
Just had Revo Stage 1..well bout 2 months ago now when it was dry!! Had a Stainless Steel Air Filter fitted too which sounds different than i thought it would. Should i be looking to get an uprated TIP? Any other tips for perfomance> I have a 2004 Cupra R 225
