this mite sound thick but here goes...... I took my back wheel off my LCR as i had a puncher got the jacking cover off and got the puncher wheel off put the spare wheel on and now i can get the jacking cover back on. The guy where i got the wheel fix couldnt evan get it to go back on.[:@]

any 1 know how it goes on??

If your unlucky enough to get a puncture like us you will have to remove these covers which are a devil to refit but an other work I have done on my car that has needed the car to be jacked up/new tyres fitted at a garage use a trolley jack and leave the covers on!!!

I had exactly the same problem today, here's how I sorted it.

Clip in the top part. Get a hammer and wrap the head in a tea towel. Whack the bottom pretty hard (harder than you would expect). Job done.

Trying to push it on just doesn't work.

easy way without risk of damaging it is to undo the screws slightly (the star one's)that hole side skirt on and they will just pop back in i had a right game at first trying to put mine back on and they never looked right so i undid the screws and they just clipped in

As above.

Sometimes you get lucky, you want to be aiming to pull the skirt down ;) at the furthest inboard edge (under the car) so you're not just forcing the cover against the chassis

Yellow insulation tape as the f*cker came back off on the motorway and scratched and broke! Soon as i get mine fixed am gluing them all on, getting a slim line jack at home and leaving and air bag jack in the car!

put top bit in so its swinging, then put fingers behind the inside edge of the skirt, ad the bottom of the cover in the palm of same hand.
then sweeze. (you wil find that you are applying pressure at abotu 45 degrees not vertically.
easy.

the problem with all this banging and effort is your just pushing up the skirt against the shassis. they actually go in very easily if you give the cover space to clip in.

Air bag jack, now that is interesting, where from, have you got a picture and how much.

Re low entry jack, I have just got one for my Elise, fed up from having to run it onto multiple bits of wood etc. Got it from Machine mart, was about £75 on a VAT free day (£95 normal price) NB only lifts 1.25 ton, so Leon is geting close?

i'll have to have a play around with it when its not dark and raining. it just dont look rite with a black hole in one skirt. was thinking of getting a slim line jack abit ago but never got round to it wished i had now.
