Interior light question

On my dads FR when you open the door, is the interior light at the front meant to come on? Reason I ask is because it isn't. The one above the rear passenger seats does, and the switch is in the position highlighting that it should. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Seems obvious but have you tried the bulb and fuse box?? - also try the rocker switch in different positions

Bulbs are all fine as moved the rocker switch like you suggested, so I presume the fuse for it is ok.

Does this happen on both doors or is it just the drivers door if so it could be the door contact sticking, try pushing in/out - if that fails take it in to the stealership it is under warranty????

This happended to me. Knackered swith. Try putting the switch to on position and shaking it about with your fingers to see if it comes on. Mines worked that way - loose connection.

I got a new switch installed under warranty.
