If you are going 6-10pots dont be suprised if they arent as good as the current brembo setup.
You won't be able to generate the extra heat you'll need to warm them up to their most efficient temperature. But they will look good ;)

Again thanks for your comments but are they really needed. Like i said i'm aware of the Brembo's capability! Just been offered a good deal, thats all!

All pm's replied.

I paid £340 for my brembo set up off ebay, that was wiv calipers, braided hoses, brackets, discs (half worn) and pads but changed them anyway.

Thanks Dave, well i've had various offers. They'll just go the the first both reasonable and genuine offer.

no probs dude - can buy new (basic) ones anyway for a little more - cheers anyway

It's OK going huge on the back but what about a brake bias valve set up to help stabilise the rear under breaking, and also upgrading the rears to match the fronts 'imrpoved' braking performance.

on an ibiza? bigger rears? why?
overbraked as std...

ickle ibiza runs std rears no problem and runs twinbias valves and no ABS
weakest part of ibiza braking is its POS abs system. an overbraked rear combined with its horrible abs system makes for some scarey moments and utter rubbish stopping.

agree there!

if you drastically imcrease the braking at the rear all that will happen is that they'll lock up causing the ABS to kick in, which won't slow you down at all.

it's one reason I'm very happy not to be fitting it on the van, but instead have adjustable bias instead.

Sorry I meant going stupidly huge on the front, maybe the rear disc set up doesnt need balencing out, but i'd still want to run two brake bias valves to the rear.

This is going to be one of my next mods, that and reset the OEM one for the new ride height if it cant be junked (part of ABS??). Haven't looked at the standard valve yet, but pretume you could remove it and just run twi seperate valves.

wtf are you on about?

either you want ABS or you don't.... if you don't - then you can run bias valves.

but you'll just redo all your copper lines (easy enough) - then you have bias control available to you.

To be honest I can't understand my own posts at the moment, just woke up lol!!

What I mean is the cupra has a standard bias valve, than when your car is lowered ideally needs to be reset, right?? Is this bias valve just simply that, a brake bias valve or does it also tie into the ABS system?

I haven't looked into what I'm going to do with the Cupra, but others car's I have done have never had ABS to begin with (Mk2 Golf). So two bias valves were added into the brake lines (one left, one right) and set up accordingly, the OEM lever-valve-type-thing was junked. This helped stabilise the rear a lot more under braking.

Would like to do the same with the Cupra, just haven't looked under the car at the rear beam to see if the standard bias valve has any links to the ABS at all? My guesses are it doesn't but I prefer to check than presume.
