250 miles will, if you're lucky, be a tank of petrol. Bear in mind it will need to be run on Super Unleaded / VPower / Ultimate et el so you're talking between £40 and 50 per tank depending on the tank size and petrol prices.

could you bare with it standard to, parts are a fortune, then if you upgrade parts does the clutches last long, with a car like that do you think you could go without booting it

Only one way to find out !!

I'm haggling on the price, if I get a decent price, I'll take it out on a test drive.

They have offered me £12300 for mine, and the Impreza is up for £12995 (54 plate WRX AWD - 17k miles).

I want to basically do a swap deal with no cash involved. Also mailed Subaru to see how much a 20k (might even be a 24k service) will cost me.

Standard is stil going to be faster than the TDI.......

Go for the scoob mate - I changed and I am happy (owned a MY04 LCR) Lovely car, shite in the bad weather however! More than happy with the scoob, don't listen to the ppl who put them down because they are expensive, half the people on here could not even get insurance for one. Minus point might be fuel cost, I spend about 65 pounds a week on fuel - but I have a good job, so don't give a fcuk tbh

hope this helps!

Tone of your e-mail is quite silly to be honest.

£65 quid on petrol a week is silly money even if you got a good job. Thats £260 a month not including services, wear and tear etc...Scoobies are great cars but not if you do 250 miles a week. In my opinion of course.

Ignoring the arrogant and ignorant attitude of your post... you have totally contradicted yourself and proven everybody else right.

You're saying ignore the people who say it costs a lot to run.... but it's expensive to insure and costs a lot of fuel. So since you're saying the same as everybody else, should we ignore you too?

God you lot are easy to wind up! The LCR was bad on petrol imo. My Scooby is nuts! And I can only fill it with high octane ;)

However, the scoob is not a car for the faint hearted - and not for the poor ******* either!

AKA CONSIDERABLY RICHER THAN THOU !
Plus I can afford loads of gold cheap jewelery - and I got a Burbery base ball cap - NAH NAH - NAH NAH NAH!

and I got a Rotty! So I'm not bothered!

Scoob

Chris,
I see yours is remapped to 200bhp, make sure you test drive the WRX for at least 30 - 45 mins, leave it a couple of days then test it again. I test drove a WRX and a STI PPP and the WRX was disappointing compared to the LCR.
The RB320 has got me thinking again tho.

As for the money, if you ve got it burn, before Blair spends it for you!!!

Eh, you had more bottles than me tonight

Oh Yes!

Seriously, I went from a 225 LCR to a 265 BHP Scooby, and I love it! Why?

Well, 1. it's the type of car that you are not compelled to clean all the time! All I did with my Leon was clean it! It's that type of car - that begs to be cleaned!.

2. I don't miss all the water coming in on the LCR!

3. FFS, no more ESP light! Oh God that is so good!

4. My Scoob goes like bang to 100MPH - then flakes out a bit TBH!

---------------------------

What I miss - the looks of the LCR - Scoobs are ugly fcukers!
And.. 100 - 145 - LCR's are really with it at this point - My WRX will do a 140+ - but I cant find a long enough road yet.

in Summary,

Go get a Scoob mate mate - the driving experience comapred to the LCR is far more stimulating - which is more than I can say for my wife at present!

Mark.

Just for the record, If I wanted one I could have one and at 29 insurance wouldn't be an issue at all, but just like a few others on this thread we have brains! I would prefer to not spend all my time and money at a petrol station and would prefer to put my money into something that I can show rather than in my tank! I'm fed up with blowing all my money on insurance and petrol I've owned an Escort RS Cosworth, a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R and a focus ST in recent years so trust me I've been there done that.

Anyway,If petrol and insurance etc aren't a problem to you why aren't you buying an Evo they are quicker, and aren't common as muck like a scooby!!!

No you could not - cause my job pays more than yours - SO THERE!

That's very childish to make a comment like that when you don't even know what I do for a living!! People that show off about there jobs often don't actually have that good a job and do it to make themselves feel better about themselves. The people with the good jobs don't feel compelled to show off ;)

Your last comment sums up every one of your posts this evening - taxi for one to scoobynet.com goodbye.....wahahahaha

im showing off now, i have a diesel card that i dont pay for, its the inlaws, i dont pay for insurance just tax really, so why dont i go for one, because exactly the same reason peeps are saying on here

Well said.

My brother had a scooby the only thing that impressed me was it was glued to the road. My best mate got an lcr and everything impresses me about it. I feel LCR is a more mature car and a sensible car that flies when it has too.

the amount of old shape one kicking about does my head in now, all with diffrerent colour rally stickers up the side and big mudflaps etc EEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRrrrr
