Fitting an Apine hu

I'm considering getting an Alpine 9855R hu for my Leon and fitting it myself. I've done searches on the forum and know that I need to get a facia adaptor and an aerial adaptor.

What I'm not sure about is whether the existing wires will plug into the Alpine unit or if I will need some other adaptor. Is there anything else I'll need to get the hu up and running?

I have a spare ISO connector here that I was about to sell on.
Cost me £10.00 and it's unused!.

Car ISO lead and harness for the following makes:
Alfa, Audi, Citreon, Fiat, Peugeot, Porsche, Rover, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Smart, Vauxhall and Volkswagen etc...

Oops my bad? , I got a few leads with my JVC and it went straight in but a few years ago I had to buy an ISO connector for my Kenwood that went into another car. I assumed not all systems come with them. Wasted £10 anyway

yea my 9850ri went straight in no probs.....

just remember to go yellow to red and vice versa on the wires you have to join else your head unit will reset itself everytime you take the keys out of the ignition.

Be sure to get an ariel amplifier and fit it between the H/U and the ariel cable. Boosts the signal for the radio and gets a much better reception. Discussed here

That has been driving me mental with my JVC hu . Can sort it out now, cheers!
