Hi Chaps,
Was down the in-laws the other night and my brother in law told me that I had never taken him for a spin in my LCR since I got it, so off we popped and sneaked out for a quick burn round the block.
Took the car out onto a dual carriageway nearby and not suprisingly he was very impressed whilst 5hi**ng his pants. It was when we got back to the house I asked him to take me out in his 1.7Vti Honda Civic, its a 2 + 2 coupe in coachwork black on a 52 plate. He took me round the same route and booted the cr@p out of it, I was quite impressed and the VTEC does make a difference, BUT, those engines scream like crazy!!
I was not the leat bit impressed with the build, everything SO plasticy, and when shutting the doors the entire car rattles and when he was booting it some I felt like I WILL die if this car hits something, seem so flimzy
Anyway, I did notice that he would floor his car when in all gears including 1st, where as when I took him out in mine I did not floor it in 1st gear cos you know the cars gonna be all over the gaff, spinnin out, do you lot agree? It does seem a shame though for as much as you wanna feel raw power in 1st gear floored, you just can't! knowing full well you may lose traction on the front wheels
