As is proved in my other thread my opinions dont count and i cant be bothered arguin the toss with people on here that seem to hav all the answers with out all the facts.so from now on ill be readin this forum only. Not postin. I hav lost all excitement about my car now from the issues iv had.

One issue and youre throwing in the towel?
Ive had a turbo fail, lambda sensors fail, ecu die and other small issues like coilpacks, you dont know youre born fella!
btw my car is going great now that the dodgey bits are all gone!!

the other thread had got out of hand though, there was no reason for all the others to jump on the bandwagon when it wasn't their place.
i hope you find the excitement about your car again, its worth working towards a solution and getting the car running well and i'm sure BAS will help you find what is wrong if you act within reason. but flaming on the forum wasnt the best approach
if you've got a laptop handy, invest in vagcom and you'll be well on your way

Eh? Didn't people agree that your problems were best sorted out in private than on an open forum? Nobody is complaining or arguing the fact that you have a problem but the general issue is that you have taken so long to report it! If you weren't happy with the map, you should've informed the seller immediately. You shouldn't have said that you were 100% happy if there was still a problem on the test drive. Why wait 2 weeks before getting in contact? What dya think people are, psychic? Nobody knows there is a problem unless YOU tell them so the current issue lies with YOU! I recall you saying that you don't/didn't have internet access... How does that stop you from picking up the phone and contacting BAS?? I'm not sticking up for BAS, I've never dealt with them but if you came up to me with a problem 2 weeks after you knew there was one, I'd tell you to get stuffed too!

Car has been vag com'd four times mate.there is no fault with my car.hence why its gotta be the map.and to be told by a forum sponsor that they dont hav time to look at my car is out of order.its my own fault for not goin revo or jabba.hard way to learn and iv heard nothin from bas,i got told to ring back in a week2ten days as he has no time to look at it now.

Alot of members have had isues with their cars but we don't spit the dummy outcry: ) at the first sign of trouble.
You need to talk to BAS and get your issues resolved. Nothing ever gets sorted by being stubborn and sulking.
It might be because of the route you took that BAS are being difficult.

There's nothing worse than spending money on your pride and joy and not getting the result you wanted/hoped for. But PLEASE, next time you get something done, make sure it's 110% that you want it to be and don't leave untill it's either right or put back to standard before handing over any money!

Interesting.... So there was never an issue back then which points the finger at your car. A map won't change by itself whereas the engine wears over time.
This has already been done to death, but Dodson - have you actually picked up the phone and spoken to Bell about this in the last few days?

It sprung to mind as it was Dodson and Chris that were tellign me I should go with Bells, I might add that I still will be going with Bells when the time comes.

Clutch is slipping at the min, but Pete said he would limit the power (FOC) until I got a new clutch, then he would tweak it back for me (FOC). I thanked him, but declined (I can live with it for now) - so he said when I get the new clutch, he would tweak the map for more power if I wanted him to (FOC).
Hence my original question in the deleted thread. Pete's a top guy & wont let you down.
