My car wants to only boost to 7psi so i've checked under the bonnet and found this part loose.. I am not sure if this part will have an influence on the boost or not?

thats the n112 valve which sits on the rubber bracket underneath your hands in those pics

the open nipple should be blocked but i dont know if this will help you find your lost boost, certainly could be the reason though. just stick a piece of vac hose on the end of it and then block that up with a screw.

btw 7psi is not limp mode...its standard

how comes you've swapped just the one vac hose for blue silicone hose?
check all the vac hoses in that system, as if anyone of them has popped off or split it will be leaking

if it was limpmode there should be a faultcode along with it, if there no fault code its more likely to be a leak

if you find the valve doesnt securely fit onto its bracket, just cable tie it in place

Hooch swapped some for blue ones when swapping my turbo over.

I've check everyone for leaks can't feel any air coming out of any!

I'll do a battery re-set this happened a couple of months back but then after about 2minutes of driving it went back to normal!

I had a damaged hsoe once - I checked for leaks and i could and couldnt feel any - turns out the pipe with the plastic heat sheild around it was buggered - sooo probably best to change them all any way as process of elimination and will save you the trouble later and make the enginer more appealing -

I would guess on hand

I have 1 line thats a bit worn, but isn't the outside of it just protecting the tubes inside?

When you say outside i take it you mean the plastic heat shield - it does protect it but the pipe and piping inside can still become damaged -

When i tried to remove the pipe (inside the plastic shield) with a screw driver, it just crumbled away off the nipple - the penny dropped -

When i mean the outside- see the 2nd picture in the middle you can see 2 black pipes that join the silver pipe.. I mean the material the covers the pipes..

I've just done a battery re-set & now my boost is back to normal
