it's cos the link has two http's in it.

when it should be this :

Looked 50/50 to me, the SEAT indicated and moved out at the same time, from my experience I'd be willing to bet the bike made his move without indicating. Both started their move at the same time, it was just that the bike accelerated quicker and found him self with no where to go.
Edit - On second thoughts, may be the SEAT was a little slower off the mark.

I know bikers get a hard time on the roads with people not looking but half the time they dont do themselves any favours. Nothing more off putting than a bike sitting at your rear quarter. It was fairly obvious the car was going to go given the chance but that said the car should have know the bike would try to pass too.

Most bikers never stay behind for long so you should no that he is going to go at the 1st chance
The bike is doing 60-70 then suddenly 115 before the car hits him.. No amount of checking your mirror can see that coming. The biker never gave himself a chance never mind the car he is responsible for looking after his own life.. (not to say the car isnt also responsible but its not the cars fault solely)

No way of knowing if bike indicated, but i would say 80% cars fault, bike did pause for split second and then go, car was too slow with no indicators!!
one thing that i hate is when overtaking and then they pull across the white line and leave you very close to hitting them or the other hedge!!!

You do realise that is Kmh not Mph? So the biker is slowly accelerating from about 40mph to about 65mph.

thats pretty poor riding from the biker. he/she did themselves no favours at all. ie put themselves in a position where that could happen. siting in the cars blind spot then putting out into that area.
however they are both at fault, the seat driver didnt indicate early enough or take time to check.
ive seen this happen in front of me with two cars let alone a bike and a car. people are generally pretty poor when completing an overtake.

I wouldn't say it was slowly accelerating but thats just the impression I got.. I didnt take the time to work out the mph figures.. No point ruining a good story with the truth
statistic in the paper this morning said that 80% of all accidents involving motorcycles are the fault of the motorcyclist.
i stand by those statistics. And bikes count for 1% of all road users yet account for 20% of all accidents on the road. scary. you are 30 times more likely to have an accident on a bike. is it really worth it, nope

Haha the sad thing is you admitted it.. nah there just some things some people know about and some things people have no clue about. I have no clue about bikes apart from knowing which ones i think look smart but can understand how people can identify them just the same way as i can with cars.. or buses
