This is the weird thing ever! i dont know were its coming from!

On the battery on the postive termianl. im getting a white/dotted substance like washing up powder!

It came up 2months ago! ive cleaned it and it came again, cleaned it it came again!
And again!

Whats is this? Dont think its a good thing :(

Could be dried battery acid which has caused corrosion, which could be a sign that your battery is leaking. If this is it, I think you need a new battery!

Sounds like semi-normal build up you get on the terminals...easiest thing to do (if your battery isn't acting like it's too tired) is to take the terminals off, clean up said Daz ;) (from both terminals & clamps) grease the terminals on the battery & re-connect.

Should save you the £60+ for a new battery if it's not the battery that's actually at fault.

Ive done once or twice (when fitting the new typhoon filter).
ive cleaned it fully! and greased the terminals with copper grease!

Is it a green/ white like colour? If so definitely battery corrosion. Will clean up with water but you may be too late. I had this about 2 months ago. Caused by battery arcing due to the connection not being tight enough to the battery.

I only noticed it when my car failed to start one day! Needed a new battery in the end and a new negative terminal lead harness in my case as even with the new battery the corrosion was coming back. The new negative terminal lead was a real pain in the @rse to fit I tell you.

If I were you i'd unscrew your battery. Give the terminal ends on the harness lead leads a good clean with a wire brush. Clean your battery terminals with a wire brush and screw the leads back on nice and tight and cover generously with Vaseline or copper grease as said above.

Check again in a few weeks to see if it returns, you might have caught it in time.

standard reaction, i'm a maintenance engineer and see that all the time. you just need to give it another full clean, re-fit the terminals then cover with vaseline or an aerosol of proper battery terminal protector ensuring you haven't missed any spots. The most likely damage to be caused by leaving it is it will slowly eat away your terminals, then you will start to get starting/charging problems.

Just had a new battery fitted, any suggestion on what to use to clean the terminals?
gave it a quick sand 2weeks ago with some copper grease and the corrsion is back again [:@]

I wouldn't use copper grease as it will be very conductive and will probably add to any arcing or corrosion that is happening. As suggested use some vaseline, battery terminal protector or just some all purpose grease which you can get big tubs of at most decent car places.
