Update from my dealer

The dealer has just phoned back to see if I have made up my mind, I haven't fully, although still swaying towards reorder (it'll be a 57plate by the time it arrived I'm sure, with possibly new style grill)

But I asked what else he would throw into the deal to sweeten it, for me to take it as is.

I have/had really set my heart on it having all the spec I wanted, and again this has taken the shine off something I wanted, if you know what I mean.

He also mentioned, they may have it at the dealership on Thursday (this week)

If you do go for the 57 plate option then you could get CU57PRA as a personal registration, goes on sale from DVLA soon priced at £399...

What a decision.

I think if it were me I would take the car, the discount and the free servicing and not worry to much about the sunroof. The discount will take care of a big chunk of the first years depreciation.

But as has been said, full tank of fuel, mud flaps and mats.

Although how the hell did they miss it off the order? arent these things all done by computer - muppets!

If you have your heart set on a sunroof (and why not) hold on till another arrives and use their loan car to do all the jobs and go to all the places that you wouldnt want to take your cupra :)

Cupra R,

morning. what have you decided to do then?

ive had a bit of a think this morning .

what options did you go for?
if your really desparate for that sunroof and our options are roughly the same, i may be prepeared to forego the sunroof and get a car earlier, so if you are interested maybe we could swap orders.
mine is due to be built next week with sunroof/bluetooth/convenience pack.
ive paid the £500 deposit as its a factory order (i guess you have too).

let us know how you get on. i guess their offer may be a little too good to walk away from.

chris

Good afternoon Chris lol.

I have been back in touch with them and got a little more out of the deal, it now stands at 3yrs free servicing and a free Tom Tom 710 with Seat Sport Cill protectors thrown in too.

I went also for the Rear side air bag's and Passenger airbag disconnection along with the rest of the soec you have. I had to pay £1000 deposit though.

So, I am now thinking it is indeed to good to walk away from, should be able to have it next week too.

Thanks for the offer though mate, it was a decent plan.

I think it's too gooda deal to walk away from mateTBH, apparently it was "the old sales manager" that omitted the sunroof from the order, very conveinient me thinks.

As you say, the discount will offset the the initial loss.

yep, those extra bits and pieces & free servicing for the duration of the warranty, and getting the car next week, you'd be daft really to knock it back mate.

i went to my dealership this afternoon as i was getting paranoid about my order. he checked and confirmed my order is as it should be, and that it must have been an error in the dealership you ordered from that dropped a b0ll0ck.

post a few pics up once its in your hands.

Thanks mate, I can't wait to see it in real life now. TBH, I think I only ticked the Sunroof box because it was there lol. It will be missed, but the deal now more than compensates for it. Will just have to use the AC more lol.

The way I am seeing it is, I now have saved enough money per month to pay for my insurance, I don't have to pay for the servicing, so it should be 3yrs of cheapish motoring, barring tyres etc lol.

i dont know but it cant be many. while i was at the dealership today i saw my first inferi black. it was a choice of this or the candy white for me, and while the inferi black is nice it didnt really float my boat. i now know candy white was the right choice (even though ihavent seen that either )

With all the problems of 'wet windows' that the leons seem to have, u may have dodged a bulled by not getting the sunroof :duck: ;)

Its a pitty they messed your order up but its one less thing that can go wrong i suppose.

Hope u enjoy the car when u finally get it!

You should have it by wed, I will be picking mine around about then too. Was told early next week but they are useless, so who knows.

At least you can relax knowing its finally arrived now. I know a weight has lifted off my shoulders :).

It is a Bank Holiday weekend though, so I don't expect them to turn it around too quickly, TBH not too bothered when it's ready now, just so long as there isn't any more problems.
