i need some help here i wanna change my pads and rotors for something better ; so what can i put for my car and too much expensive

Edit: If your going to change stuff then get DS2500 pads, and upgrade the discs to G88`s and get some decent brake fluid. Standard set up if more than enough for driving on the road, and trackdays IMHO.

Are you running single pot brakes or SEAT Sport 4 pots?

that['s the problem mate that i'm running single pot brake not seat sport 4 pots , so i want to know what can i do ? and if i should change caliper or not if i change the discs and pads ?

IIRC the AP ones arent approved brakes in some European countries. Depends where your from I guess.

The UK (where 90% of the forum members are from) gets the 4 pots as standard, I knew something wasn't right!

The setup you have on your car should be the 312mm setup from the old Leon Topsport/Cupra 1.8T, which is pretty much the same as the Audi TT setup. There are loads of upgrades out there, from discs and pads to Brembo upgrades, it all depends on how much money you can spend.

I thought it was the AP racing stuff with the 312mm disks, unless that is the same set-up

If so that is more than enough for bringing the car to a stop from high speeds.

Must be driving like some sort of Demon to want to change that out.

mine need uprating dift

they WERE PINK this morning but i went to work and tookall the wheels off and polished all four calipers back to dark red took me 3hours gave the coilovers a good scrub too

im in process of getting my g88 discs and uprated racing brake fluid

My calippers are reddy pink and black

Looks like brake fluid from track days need to repaint them

One reason that red brake calipers go pink is spraying alloy wheel cleaner on them when doing your wheels especially when they are hot. The more acidic the cleaner the quicker it turns red paint to pink.

I left my car at SEAT and let them replace the dam pink things!

are pink calipers covered under warranty, all 4 on mine are pink

yes they are covered under warranty as some1 has had them replaced under warranty "mr cellotape"

seriously if taking it to the dealers is going to be hassle just take the wheel off and polish them up mine are red again now il never use alloy acid cleaner again
