bolt in cages are not as stiff as weld in thats true, but still a massive improvement, this is an ex-Seat factory car as was done by Custom Cages, was in when I bought car, beautiful job, really nice mounts welded into car that the cage bolts to.

Its the oil tank for the engine, dry sump system.

it looks seriously hard in the flesh as it is - i do have the wide rear arches but they are not fitted - was waiting to see what the car felt like balance wise (as its built for speed not looks) before doing it and I have to say its fab - probably wont make wide track rear now but you never know......I have a golf VR6 rear axle for the job if I decide to do it

they are glass - there's a couple of threads been running where there has been talk of making moulds off them - I would like to do this as kevlar is the way to go, seriously tuff and will take impacts without breaking - have seen euro rallycross cars been repaired that are 5 layer kevlar and its almost impossible to cut/break, you could jump on a wing and it wouldnt even budge

Yeah I remember the thread about the moulds, and trust me if a big cash win ever comes my way I'll do it personally ha ha. Sure there would be enough interest in both fibreglass kits and the tougher stuff for people in the motorsport side of things.
