I tried it by putting the key in the door and turning n holding it, and it workes, but does not work with the keyfob.

I have been in the menu like someone suggested earlier but there is no option there.

I have the same problem - works with key but not with remote.
I don't have this option in the menu either - Mines a 56 plate 2.0 TDI stylance with sport pack and conv pack (auto lights/wipers).
Have a lights and vision option, only things in there are coming home, leaving home and comfort indicators setting.
There must be something different, that requires some tweaks with VAG-com ?

same for me on my 56 plate 2.0 TDI sport. I have bluetooth and the larger MFD but dont seem to have the same options as the newer cars as mentioned previously to activate the windows from the key fob. Is this something that can be updated at my first service ?

the window function will only open/close the windows from the key fob if its my07 if its my06 you will have to get it enabled through vagcom
