right guys you might all tell me to search for this one and i have but wanted to see if anyone could give me a personal opinion.

Im finally thinking of parting with some cash and going with a remap.
But taking into conciduration im not going to go for a generic remap would you all say i should go with a fmic and larger dp/ full exhaust prior to getting the remap (conciduring that the prices of both would set me back another 4 months on a remap)

Im sure some people will possibly be sick of this question poping up
but if you are one of these please try refrain from venting frustration and only post if you can direct me to some possible results or supply constructive responces :D:whistle:

well that is also my thinking but what im wondering is how much more can the standard ic's actually take
Cos To be honest I dont think i will still have my LCR in say 1 years time so what to get as much from her as possible and still have time to enjoy it and the clock is ticking and £1200 in one throw(fmic & remap) is asking a bit too much

They will work fine but if you plan on getting mods like that within the next wee while, get them before you map it, not worth getting them done and not having the best out of them and the map!

If you're only keeping it a year, just get a stage 1 remap  I would consider anything else to be a waste. I wouldn't consider a true custom remap to be worth it on a stage 1 car (Not really worth on a stage 2 motor, either IMHO)
