You should have got a Sachs clutch kit - I've had mine for about 6 months now & not had 1 single slip or rattle
It`s not the clutch thats making the noise it`s the SMF. If you put a SMF on the Sashs clutch it will rattle just the same.
Thought that was friction disc was the same as the pressure plate (i.e the part with the five paddles and the pressure springs)

Top left of the picture is the drive/friction disc. Bottom right is the pressure plate. Please don`t tell me you fell for the sports CAT scam?
DMF`s have been known to self destruct when abused or put under a lot of strain. Another reason is that a DMF is very heavy compared to a SMF so with SMF an engine should be able to rev much quicker. I had a SMF in my last car and didn`t like it really, wish i had stayed with a DMF.

Yup i fell for the sports CAT scam - money down the drain indeed.
It was before the Milltek was on the market IIRC and the Blueflame full system only came with the sports CAT.
Avrs did the same thing with blueflame when i first met him i was saying is it a straight through pipe and he was like na i got a sports cat i was like ummm why don't think he really knew but he's going to get it sorted
I was expecting Lloyd at Allards to remove it and decat my car when the hybrid was fitted, but he said that it was freeflowing enough as it was.
There is nothing wrong with a sports CAT as such just that they are very exspensive, not needed and a straight piece of pipe does a better job a lot cheaper.
