Guys i can not recomend this stuff enough. Im sure most people have tried this before but i used it for the first time on monday and its awesome.
I did spend 5 ours just claying the car but it was worth every second :D

Just ordered mine a few minutes ago. Watched a guy in work using one a while back as I had no idea what it was. Just looks like a block of blue tac!

Got round to trying this stuff out today on some sort of tar marks on my bonnet and it didn't seem to shift it :(

Got some meir polish which I will try tomorrow to see if it gets rid of the marks.

yeah also agree! i use meguires paint cleaner after claying (its step 1 of the megs 3 step package) it brings it up even better. then followed by a polish and wax, but im using chemical guys stuff for that at the moment.

MMM, just bought the halford car polsih and turltle wax polish. Did a realy good job with hardly any effort.
gone get the the meguire 3 stage polish. need some thing to darken my red paint work.

quick clay requires no elbow grease!
you should keep the paint as lubed as possible and then rub the clay over it with minimal pressure

agree with Matt

Quik Clay should require NO elbow grease. Make sure that the surface is well lubricated using the detailing spray included, and only apply light pressure. You should not feel any resistance at all, but the surface will initially feel slightly rough. As the contaminents are removed the surface will become like glass.

A good way to test that the surface is ready for polish is to put a plastic sandwich bag on your hand and move across the surface - un clayed will feel rought, clayed should be glass smooth.

Jedi

Dampen the tar with a little WD40 (leave for a minute or so), it will come straight off.

whether it needs elbow grease or not depends on how stuborn the tar is.
some will come off easier than others. its just a tiresome procedure though

tried it on mine today, cant believe the results, required only minimal work and the finish is amazing.
definitely converted to clay.
